The Tao of Coaching by
Max Landsberg
This is an easy-to-read guide for coachers and coachees about the best ways for a manager and employee to communicate effectively
Freakonomics
by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner
This book is great fun to read on vacation. The authors apply statistical modeling to everyday life with surprising results. Good book if you are just a little bit geeky.

Streaming audio for every mood. In danger of being shut down by the recent decision from the Copyright Royalty Board.
The No
Asshole Rule by Robert I. Sutton
If your career is anything like mine, you have worked for a number of companies that need a “no asshole” rule (current company notwithstanding). A good read for anyone running their own show.
www.First30Days.com
First30Days is a website dedicated to helping people get successfully through any life change. It was founded by a friend and I have found it to be helpful and inspirational time and again.
The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig by
Eugene Trivizas and Helen Oxenbury
This is a favorite bedtime story for our kids. It tells the tale of three cuddly little wolves who go out in the world and do their best to keep safe (they START by building a house of bricks). A big bad pig keeps destroying their sturdy homes until they finally help him see the error of his porcine ways. It always reminds me to keep an open mind about a person’s intentions and to believe that people can change for the better.
www.MarketingSherpa.com
I love, love, love this website. Anne Holland runs such a helpful marketing resource website.
Notes from a Small Island by
Bill Bryson
Such a funny book (nose-booting, side-crampingly funny). Notes from a Small Island was voted as the book that best represented England in a 2003 poll of the English people. Bill Bryson is from Iowa.
For God,
Country, and Coca-Cola: The Definitive History of the Great American
Soft Drink and the Company That Makes It by Mark
Pendergrast
This book is full of interesting facts about how Coco-Cola has affected American culture over the last century. Who knew that Coca-Cola invented the world’s current image of Santa Claus for a marketing campaign. Before that ad, Santa was tall and skinny.
Don't Make Me Think by Steve
Krug
This book is a terrific look at site usability from a true expert. A must read for anyone who builds, owns or markets websites.
